Our client, an international luxury brand, ensures excellence across all touchpoints by proving in-depth training to its employees.

Recognising the diverse learning needs of its workforce, our client was keen to add more explainer videos to their training library.

They understood the shortcomings of the AI-powered captions and voices available in their eLearning authoring tool but were interested in how AI could potentially streamline video localization.

The solution

Our client opted for subtitles as the most cost-effective approach to localizing their videos. They were also keen for the work to be completed by their existing approved linguists, chosen for their familiarity with the brand tone of voice.

Autogenerated English captions serve as a starting point for creating a subtitle template that is optimised for translation. A custom filter allows translators to work on a variety of subtitle file formats in our server-based translation tool. The translation tool gives our linguists access to client-specific translation memories and glossaries.

Our client review platform allows the client to review the translated subtitles before they are finalised. Depending on how the videos will be used, subtitles can be burnt into the video or provided as a separate file.

The result

Our tailored workflow has allowed our client to publish localized video content that is on brand and consistent with their other training tools.
