Custom Quality Assurance Tools
Powerful QA tools that support translation quality and streamline multilingual content delivery.
An essential layer of quality assurance
Our custom quality assurance tools check translated content against the source text, approved terminology, translation memories and your project requirements.
They can quickly identify potential omissions, inconsistencies, formatting errors and other issues that may be hard to spot through manual checking alone.
These tools support rather than replace professional judgement. An experienced linguist or project manager investigates each relevant warning and decides whether any action is needed.
If we notice an issue in the source text that could affect the translation, we will flag that too. For a more detailed review before translation begins, we also offer proofreading and translation-readiness checks.

What our QA tools can check
The checks we run depend on the content, languages, file format and requirements of each project. They may include:
Terminology
- Checks for consistent use of terminology with integrated glossaries
- Warns if forbidden terms are used
Consistency
- Identifies duplicate words
- Verifies that identical segments are translated consistently
- Compares translations against the approved translation memory
Length
- Ensures the translation doesn’t go over the allowed character count
- Checks the length of the translation in proportion to the source
Numbers
- Ensures all numbers in the source appear in the translation, and vice versa
- Checks the correct format was used (e.g. 12,345.67 vs. 12.345,67)
Punctuation
- Checks for missing brackets, quotation marks and apostrophes
- Verifies correct spacing before and after punctuation marks
- Ensures consistency of punctuation between source and target
Spaces, capitals and characters
- Detects double whitespace or extra spaces
- Ensures consistent initial capitalisation between source and target
- Warns if forbidden characters appear in the translation
Spelling and grammar
- Generates warnings for spelling errors
- Flags grammar errors
Formatting
- Checks that formatting in the source – bold, italic and underline – is preserved in the translation
Other checks
- Warns if any sentences have been left out
- Warns if the translation is identical to the source
