How we helped a multinational technology company to support its channel partners in winning over customers with multilingual sales enablement assets.

The challenge
Our client, a multinational technology company, supports its channel partners by providing a wide range of resources in its Solutions Hub. As a company with a global reach, it was important for our client to make its sales enablement assets available in multiple languages.
Its Solutions Hub contains two types of asset, each requiring a different workflow. Downloadable assets are available via the Adobe Experience Manager. AEM’s XTM Cloud connector and its automated translation feature allows our client to speed up the production of downloadable assets. In-platform content is managed by a company called Mindmatrix. Their solution incorporates AI translation and text export in Excel.
Channel partners found the existing assets to be of limited use in customer conversations. Sales in Germany had been particularly disappointing. Our client reached out to Planet Languages for help.

The solution
Our client was keen to see a return on their investment in the XTM Cloud connector. They acknowledged its limited functionality in terms of QA checks and copyfitting, and were keen to work with us to find a solution.
Our linguists work directly in XTM’s translation management system. This allows them to access the client’s translation memories and glossaries and adjust the automated translations to match the style of previously approved content. Word exports allow our linguists to carry out comprehensive QA checks.
The client’s regional teams prefer to review content for all assets in Excel format before final sign-off, so we designed a workflow to facilitate this. XTM offers exports of assets in their native format, allowing us to professionally typeset assets before uploading them to Adobe Experience Manager.
The result
Our tailored workflow has allowed our client to publish a large quantity of translated sales enablement assets on its Solutions Hub. Turnaround times are 60% shorter compared to a traditional translation and typesetting workflow. The client’s channel partners expressed greater satisfaction with the language quality and visual appeal of the assets, too.
A trial run focusing on assets for German-speaking countries was a complete success. The client has now commissioned Planet Languages to work on assets for its markets in France, Italy, Spain, Brazil, Japan and South Korea.
